Given the importance of the 'Framework for a Whole-School Approach for Emotional and Mental Well-being', this research has identified examples of practice which a sample of primary and secondary schools found helpful in supporting delivery of their WSAEMWB.

Practice was grouped into 4 areas:

  • Building a positive school culture that supports delivery of a WSAEMWB.

  • Building relationships across the whole school community.

  • Aligning the WSAEMWB with Curriculum for Wales.

  • Supporting staff wellbeing.

You can find the full details of the practice examples and findings online at GOV.WALES. There is also a research summary online explaining how the work was carried out.
